Additional marshals information

• All registration forms must be submitted before the 14th August, as none will be accepted on site.
• Trophies will be awarded to the individual marshal and the club working the most hours over build up and the event itself.
• If you have volunteered for set up you will be contacted before the event to confirm your arrival time and date, all other marshals may arrive from Thursday onward as there will be no catering available before that time. Food vouchers will be issued for those working only.
• If you accurately complete the times you are available to work it will enable me to have shifts worked out in advance. Please do not commit yourself to shifts if you may not have arrived on site by that time. Please also indicate if you wish to work with a specific friend / relative.
• Please also state if there are any times you will definitely be unable to work e.g friends & family time, favourite band etc.
• Please inform marshals control on arrival on site so that the appropriate passes and wristbands can be issued.
• The marshals camping area is a restricted area, if you are wishing to camp there and have a partner who is not marshalling they must still complete a marshals application form and send a photo and cheque or their pre-book ticket so they can be provided with a pass. Children camping in this area must be supervised and reminded not to run about and make noise in here.
• Children less than 16 years old must be supervised at all times and due to health and safety requirements may not accompany parents whilst they are working. Under 16’s cannot be classed as marshals.
• Photographs must be provided for all marshals and children. We have no facility to take photos on site this year. Preferably with application so passes can be made up in advance.
• Please let marshals control know if you have any medical condition you feel we should be aware of or any particular skills that may be useful to us.
• There will be a briefing session on Thursday evening for those able to attend and further sessions as required over the weekend.
• Tea and coffee is free to marshals during their shifts, a small charge to cover costs will be made at other times. Available from the survival tent.
• The marshals party on Sunday night is for everyone who has worked to relax and unwind, but the committee would really appreciate assistance getting it set up on the Sunday afternoon as most will only have had minimal sleep over the weekend!
• No dogs are allowed on site.
• If you have already bought a pre-book ticket please state this on your form, do not include a cheque and you will receive your refund on the Sunday, dependant on you having worked the required hours.
• Refunds and t-shirts will be handed out from around noon on the Sunday, please make sure you have made a note of your required size on the application form.

All catering pitches have now been allocated for this year, thank you for your interest and please look back in 2014.

If you were unsuccessful this year please keep trying in future as we wish to have as varied and interesting a selection of food and refreshments as possible.

Terms and conditions of entry.

•     NO TICKET- NO ENTRY
•     CAR PERMITS ARE LIMITED AND PREBOOK ONLY
  - AVAILABLE THROUGH THE WEBSITE.
•     No parking of vehicles other than in the designated parking areas.
•     Tickets on the gate will only be sold to those on a road legal bike trike or quad.
•     The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission.
•     Admission is at ticket holder’s own risk. Stormin The Castle Ltd will not be held liable for any loss, injuries or damages sustained at this event.
•     Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18 years of age at all times.
•     Persons suspected of carrying illegal or offensive items may be searched at any time on the site. Any items, which the organisers consider could be used in an illegal or offensive manner, will be confiscated and the owner removed from the site.
•     No unregistered/uninsured vehicles are to be used on the rally site i.e. minimotos/quads.
•     Persons carrying out illegal or offensive activities will be removed from the site.
•     An independent medical company deals with medical matters. This is a separate organisation from Stormin The Castle Ltd., which is not therefore responsible for any medical problems arising.
•     No flares, fireworks or fires will be allowed on site.
•     Ticket holders consent to the filming and sound recording of themselves as part of the audience.
•     Artist line up and billed attractions are subject to change.
•     No unauthorised sound or video recording will be allowed on site.
•     All parking at this event is entirely at owners risk.
•     No camping or sleeping in vehicles will be allowed in the car parks.
•     No buses will be allowed. Caravans & camper vans must pre book into Witton Castle Caravan Park for which they will charge.
•     Strictly no trading allowed on site without the organisers consent.
•     Food and alcohol for personal consumption only may be brought on to the site.
•     No slabs of alcohol from vehicles in the car park to brought on site.
•     No illegal substances to be brought on site.
•     Do not bring glass bottles on site. They are dangerous in a rally situation.
•     Please do not cause litter – use bins & bags provided.
•     All persons on the site will be exposed to loud noise/music.
•     No dogs or other animals allowed on site.

AS A CONDITION OF THE LICENCE, NO COLOURS TO BE WORN ON SITE.

Yes the event is a big tent in a field but Stormin the Castle see no reason why this should prevent us making every possible and reasonable effort to make the event accessible to as many people as possible including those of us with mobility issues.

The following information will help you ensure in advance that as many of your needs as we are in a position to provide for are catered for on your arrival.

The Disabled Camping Area

This area is adjacent to the main gate, a section of this is reserved for those who have a pre-booked permit. Each permit is for one vehicle and one tent and will be marked out accordingly.

We have received a number of requests to segregate  the disabled camping area with more secure fencing this we plan to implement this year.

You will be able to camp next to your vehicle.

The rest of the area will be available to other disabled people arriving on bikes & trikes on a first come first served basis.

Obtaining a Permit

As you can appreciate we are limited to the amount of suitable space we can allocate for the disabled area this means there is a limit to the number of permits available and the size of vehicles allowed in this area. Only cars or small vans will be allowed.

Important Please Note

Caravans are not allowed in the disabled camping area – they must be booked into the Witton Castle Touring Site, (tel. 01388 488 230), for which there will be a charge to pay.

We strongly advise that you pre book to secure your place at this fantastic fundraising event for the Motorcycle Action Group, (MAG) it gives you peace of mind and saves you money, pre book £30 on the gate £40 (only available to those arriving on a motorcycle or trike)

YER WE WISH!!!!

Personally I left the house at midday and had a quick trundle over to Newcastle where all 13 of use huddled into Michelle’s front room. 13 I hear you call? Indeed this year we have welcomed two more members to the group.

Al (bikers1.com)

Al is known to many or that’s what he told us in the three stage interview we put him through. Living north of the border we were dubious about his appointment but soon realised that his wizardry skills with Photo Shop and welding would come in handy, so don’t be surprised if the iconic castle bricks are replaced for his finest tartan on the advert this year. I have managed to dig out a nice picture of Al as I know he is mad keen on all things to do with photography.

Mary

Mary has been hanging around with a dodgy guy called Tim for many years at STC! You may well remember Tim who decided to take early retirement from the STC committee last year. Fortunately during this time she has managed to pick up a wealth of Tim type knowledge and has kindly demanded to be on the committee in the role of Bike Show chief whip. That means we now have three members of the committee in their 20’s.

On a serious note we would just like to take the opportunity to welcome the above mentioned characters to the committee and once again thank Mr Tim for his years of sweat and blood.
